Jerrilyn Guy

Organ transplant played a significant role in Jerrilyn's life
with a kidney transplant saving her mother from renal failure.
Her mom died waiting for a second kidney transplant.
Jerrilyn currently is a freshman at Youngstown State University.

 


Manu Varma

 

Manu Varma

Manu received his gift of life at age 18 with a kidney transplant at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Manu's transplant influenced his decision to become a physician. He now is a medical student at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) in Greensburg, PA.

Samantha (Sam) Scholl

When Sam was awarded the scholarship in 2010, she was entering her freshman year at the University of Pittsburgh and wants to be a child life specialist. Sam lives her life today because two families said "yes" to organ donation. Sam received her first heart transplant when she was three days old and her second heart transplant when she was nine years old.
